Summer Music Series 2017: Joe Persinger @ Story Inn | Nashville | Indiana | United States

Joe Persinger began performing music as a college student during the folk music craze of the early 1960’s, honing his guitar and vocal skills doing covers of songs by Peter, Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot and other stars of the time. He also began writing his own songs and, as the folk era faded, turned his attention to country music, writing tunes such as “Roller Rink Ruby” and “The Raggedy Man.”

Today, Joe’s typical shows include traditional folk tunes, classic country, singer/songwriter hits from the ’60s and ’70s, and original compositions. He is a frequent performer at venues in Seymour, Brownstown, and Bloomington and has been a part of the Story Inn’s summer lineup for several years.

Summer Music Series 2017: Jerry Maulin @ Story Inn | Nashville | Indiana | United States
Jerry D. Maulin lives on an old dairy farm in Columbus, Indiana.  Jerry is a teacher, a motorcyclist, and an amateur carpenter of necessity.  He has written songs and performed from here to there for over twenty years.  Jerry considers his genre “porch music” since that’s where his tapping boots and Taylor guitar come up with the varied topics that turn into songs.
Jerry has recorded several cd’s with band The Clodhoppers.  He has also laid down an electric sound with his band The Cold Stone Dog.  And he is well-known for his children’s rollicking folk recordings.  When performing at Story, often he will be joined by his usual suspects of musician friends.  Expect songs and stories when he brings his heartfelt and irreverent sound to the Story stage!
