Village Idiot Returns Home

The time-honored April Fools Day tradition continues!

Britani succeeded in this years contest among a qualified field of candidates.  Joining Britani on stage were previous idiots, though none happier for the achievement than her cat, Travis.

"This whole thing is rigged"  one outraged voter was overheard saying.  "You can win from lighting your porch on fire!?"  "You can win next year, honey."  No cats were harmed in the fiasco.

Britani joins an illustrious group of authors, artists, farmers, brewers, lawyers, professors, record label execs, famed movie directors, and savants immortalized in Story History.

Last minute efforts failed to dissuade voters as Britani, a clear favorite, was cleared for take-off.

"Idiocy precedes Story and Britani makes the generations proud." Rich said with a hint of jealousy in his voice.  A clear front runner for 2027, Rich paid for three golf carts but only picked up two.  "Idiots across the world rejoice in Britani's election, which is actually how the axis keeps it's tilt." Rich claimed, proving idiocy runs in the family.

Preserving any historic district takes constant preservation efforts.

"I'd rather give away rooms than raise my price to pay that tax."   Rich said of the get-out-of-debt scheme.  "They're not as good at spending money as I am" referencing the late great Nate Dogg.  1851 Club members may preserve their own carved limestone on the Story patio for additional fee.

"It doesn't matter who you are, in this economy. You're all welcome"  Rich said sneering when questioned about double standards.  "Republicans buy Jackie's salad too."

The 1851 Club inclusive town rental for two days includes all overnight accommodations, dinner for 40 guests both days, tax, and gratuity for $10,000.

"Trust me, I want Story debt free so future generations can enjoy the place.  The timing is right for like minded folks to get Story across the finish line."
